Game Modules - Items, Dictionaries, and Bundle
You may have seen our recent “Game Modules” for Character Creation and Stats and Skills. We have just released two new modules: Dictionaries and Items!
Plus, we have put them all together in the Game Module Bundle, which will include future modules we put out. (And if you get the bundle now, you get the future updates for free!)
These modules are designed to be highly flexible and extensible. While they often provide specific features — like the Stats and Skills module provides special classes for “Character Class” and “Character Race”, they do not force you to use any of the features to make use of the rest.
Essentially, the modules do specific things quite well, and make it easier and faster to set up common systems in your game. They don’t care how you use the data once it’s created, so you should more easily be able to embed these modules into your game without making changes to how your game is meant to be.
Today we have released the Items module and the Dictionaries module.
Do I need to update?
This system is what I’m using for my own game. As I build the game, I’m creating systems that will help me out. However, they’re purposely created to be flexible and modular. Each can be used by themselves, but together they become more powerful with additional options and connectivity built into them.
You don’t need these. But they may save you a LOT of time.
