What’s in the pack
Dragon Skeleton is an undead dragon with nothing left but bones, and it still flies. It’s fully animated, and two of its animations are made for big moments. In Collapse, it falls apart into a pile of bones. In Reassemble, it pulls itself back together as if by magic. Use them for a boss that falls and rises again.
It’s made at the same size as the living dragons in our Dragons pack, so the two work side by side. The pack includes textures, materials, sound effects and a demo scene.
Free bonus packages add the Substance Painter source files, concept art, custom music, an Unreal project and Atavism files. Bonus files are separate Asset Store packages that you can get for free once you own Dragon Skeleton.
Make it your own
Mesh morphing uses blend shapes to reshape the skeleton. These shapes change the model’s look rather than animate it. The Blend Shapes Manager saves looks you like as presets, sets limits for each shape and randomizes them, even at runtime, so no two skeleton dragons have to match.
To change how the bones look, open the Substance Painter source files, repaint them, and export texture maps for the Built-in Render Pipeline, URP or HDRP.
Using it in your game
The high-fidelity series is mobile ready: characters from the series ran in The Barbarian, our action RPG for iPhone and iPad. The pack doesn’t include LODs, so create them for the devices you target.
On Unity 6.0, the materials and demo scene ship in the Built-in Render Pipeline, and you can upgrade them to URP or HDRP in the Editor. On Unity 6.3, they ship in URP. For Unreal Engine, start with the Unreal project in the bonus files. For Godot 4, see our Unreal and Godot guide.
Dragon Skeleton is part of Monster Collection #1, along with Gargoyles and many other monsters. For a faceted style, Low Poly Character - Dragon Skeleton is made to work with Synty Studios’ POLYGON packs, and it’s in Low Poly Monster Bundle 2.
