What’s in the bundle
Monster Collection #1 brings together 20 of our monster packs, and each one is a complete Asset Store pack of its own. A few of them:
- Gargoyle: a muscular, winged creature with statue poses that can turn from stone, metal or marble into flesh and blood.
- Weeper: a horror ghost inspired by the weeper statues of centuries-old cemeteries, with statue poses and marble, stone or metal finishes.
- Dragon Skeleton: a flying undead dragon made at the same size as our Dragons, with animations for falling apart into a pile of bones and pulling itself back together.
- Spiders: three distinct spider characters you can scale to small, medium or large. The collection also includes their add-on texture set.
- Bomber Bug: a bug that walks, flies and explodes. Each part is its own sub-mesh, so you can take off its wings, armor, pincers or horns.
- Mushroom Monster: a creature 2 meters tall that can wait in one of three static poses, then charge, bash with its head and cast spells.
The rest of the lineup is the Giant Worm, Rock Monster, Plant Monster, Flying Eye, Gelatinous Cube & Sphere, Slime, Serpent Warrior, Bats, Gazer, Golems, Devils, Demons, Demoness / Succubus and Imp.
How the bundle works
After you buy the collection, visit each included pack’s page on the Unity Asset Store, signed in with the same account, and get it for free. Then import only the monsters you need from My Assets in Unity’s Package Manager.
Each character pack also has Bonus Files packages, which are free once you own the pack, and the collection’s listing names dozens of them. Depending on the monster, they hold Substance Painter source files, concept art, an animation rig, music, Atavism files or Unreal files. The Devils, Demons, Gargoyle and Mushroom Monster each have Unreal files, for example, and the Golems, Plant Monster and Gelatinous Cube & Sphere are among the packs with a music package.
Make them your own
Most packs include mesh morphing with blend shapes, and the Blend Shapes Manager saves presets, sets limits and randomizes shapes, even at runtime. Most characters also include Substance Painter source files: repaint a monster, then export maps for the Built-in Render Pipeline, URP or HDRP. On Unity 6.0 the packs ship with Built-in materials you can upgrade to URP or HDRP in the Editor, and on Unity 6.3 they ship in URP.
The packs don’t include LODs, so make ones that fit your platform. For Unreal Engine and Godot 4, see our Unreal and Godot guide.
