What’s in the pack
Spiders gives you three animated spider characters. We designed each one to look different enough from the others that players know they’re facing a new kind of spider. Resize them in the Editor to make small, medium and large spiders, and three designs can cover a lot of encounters.
The pack also comes with sound effects, a re-mixable music track called “Hatchlings” and a demo scene. On Unity 6.0 the materials and demo ship in the Built-in Render Pipeline, and you can upgrade the Standard Shader materials to URP or HDRP in the Editor. On Unity 6.3 they ship in URP.
Owning the pack also unlocks three free Bonus Files packages on the Asset Store:
- Bonus Files 1: concept art and the Substance Painter source files
- Bonus Files 2: an Unreal project
- Bonus Files 3: files for the Atavism MMO platform
Make it your own
The Substance Painter source files let you retexture each spider. Change colors, add markings or grime, then export maps for the Built-in Render Pipeline, URP or HDRP. The concept art in the same Bonus Files package is handy reference while you work.
If you want more looks without painting, Spiders - Texture Set 2 is a separate add-on pack with more textures for these spiders.
Scale does a lot of work, too. Pair different sizes with different textures, and the same three spiders can play a swarm of small biters in one room and a single giant guardian in the next.
Bundles and the low poly Spider
Spiders is part of Monster Collection #1, which also includes the add-on textures.
For a faceted, low poly style, there’s a separate low poly Spider made to work with Synty Studios’ POLYGON packs. It has mesh morphing, color-shifting textures and modular body parts, and it’s part of Low Poly Monster Bundle 2.
