What’s in the pack
The Weeper is inspired by the weeping statues found in centuries-old cemeteries, and in your game the stone comes to life. We made it for horror games and fantasy RPGs, anywhere a statue shouldn’t be trusted.
You get the animated Weeper with a selection of statue poses, so it can stand as still as the graves around it before it moves. Its base textures give you a choice of marble, stone or metal. Version 4.2.1 added directional hit reactions, three jumps, a run and a resurrect animation, and it separated the animations from the mesh. Sound effects, custom music and a demo scene are included too.
Make it your own
The Weeper has blend shapes, so you can reshape its mesh instead of filling a graveyard with identical statues. The Blend Shapes Manager script saves presets, sets limits and randomizes the shapes, even at runtime. Combine that with the three finishes and each Weeper can look like a different monument.
Once you own the pack, two bonus packages are free on the Asset Store. Bonus Files 1 has the Substance Painter source files and concept art. Use the Painter files to change the textures and export maps for Built-in, URP or HDRP. Bonus Files 2 has files for the Atavism MMO platform.
The Unity 6.0 version ships with Built-in materials that you can upgrade to URP or HDRP in the Editor. The Unity 6.3 version ships in URP.
Bundles, low poly and other engines
Monster Collection #1 includes the Weeper along with the rest of its 20 monster packs. If your project uses Synty Studios’ POLYGON packs, Low Poly Character - Weeper remodels the character in a faceted low poly style made to work with them, with the same animations, mesh morphing and a color randomizer.
The high-fidelity series is mobile ready: characters from it ran in The Barbarian, our action RPG for iPhone and iPad. The pack doesn’t include LODs, so make ones that fit the devices you target.
To use the Weeper in Unreal Engine or Godot, see our Unreal & Godot guide. Unreal versions of many of our packs are on Fab, and Godot 4 imports Asset Store packs with the Unidot Importer.
